This study investigates the actual contents of the discussion where the lecturers prescribed the eight great Tang and Song prose masters as the cultural heritage in ‘the second Tang and Song masters lecture’ of Lecture Room which is the public lecturing program in China. The importantly considered are as follows. First, they investigated the framework in the lecture where the speakers regarded the masters as the group of cultural capacity and the cultural example with spiritual and literary value. Second, through the presenters’ discussion where they interpreted the great prose writers as the guiding star, the model of character and the standard of the human beings, the presenters concretely clarified the points that all of these masters are the spiritual norm. Third, based on the lecturers’ discussion that they understand these masters’ works as the paragon of the renovation and the standard of the creativity, the speakers made it clear that these masters’ creative works are the literary classic. Thus, we would like to stipulate this ‘the second Tang and Song great masters lecture’ as a part of the strategy of the cultural country where China seek to promote and spread these great writers as its remarkable traditional culture. We hope that the result of this research can be one of the latest reference materials for the scholars who try to systematize the introduction and the theory of culture on the study of the eight great Tang and Song prose writers
