A Study on Institutional Barriers and Countermeasures According to Distribution Activation Policy of Chinese Used-car Market

Currently, China's used car market is in a fast-growing stage. Since the early 2000s, when it entered the market, it has been moving to grow on the development trend of the auto industry market. In 2004, the Chinese government officially expressed its willingness to develop the used car market by drawing up a "car industry development policy." It is also expanding its market size in earnest by allowing used cars to be sold to large foreign-invested companies as well as local companies. It was at an opportune time to move away from the existing wait-and-see perspective on China's used car market and seek a new approach strategy. Accordingly, in relation to the environmental change of China's automobile industry market, this study examines the trend and characteristics of the distribution revitalization of China's rapidly growing used car market and the institutional factors hindering its development. Through this, we would like to comprehensively examine whether the problem factors that have prevented development will be resolved one by one and will be reborn as a huge market in the process of overhauling related transaction standard policies.
