The Liberated Area Found in Daily Life and Ideals : Characteristics of Luye’s Poetry
Abstract
After the reform and opening up, Chinese poetry seeking new directions separated from the policy of Chinese Communist Party. Criticism to social reality began with self-examination, but socio-political environment forced poetry face the individual self-discovery. Lu-ye is a typical poet who represented the woman’s life through the drastic changes in China. She is a poet who lives for writing poetry. But her writing is not connected with social activity. But sink into loneliness, self-reflect her experience and feeling, managed to crystallize alienation of herself. Such a kind of atmosphere makes her poetry become an icon of contemporary Chinese literature. The relationship between ego and real world resulted in her loneliness, self honesty has been rejected by others, her dream aggravate her own alienation. Lu-ye’s loneliness and self-imposed discord are also the reality of Chinese people in 21st century.
